About GBD

Greenwich Bay Design operates on the philosophical approach that architecture requires a creative exploration between dwellings and the landscape they inhabit. As a designer, Pamela Unwin-Barkley believes that good design is born from a true understanding of a client's needs. With each project her goal is the elegant connection between materials, surfaces, light and occupation.

Pamela Unwin-Barkley has over twenty years experience in design and she personally guides every project from the initial consultation through construction to insure that every aspect of a project is carefully coordinated and considered.

Pam received the Helen Fagen Tyler Fellowship and earned a Master of Architecture diploma from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree for the University of Kentucky. In addition to GBD she also teaching design studios at the Rhode Island School of Design for the last fifteen years.
